McKinney Foot Clinic is a full service surgical and general foot care practice, specializing in diabetic footcare and foot and ankle surgery, as well as common conditions such as hammertoes, bunions, heel and arch pain, and more. We also provide customized orthotic footwear and Dr. Comfort footwear with custom molded inserts.
We offer early morning appointments, as early as 6:00 am on Mondays and Thursdays, and from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Same day appointments are usually available; please call ahead.
We are located at the corner of Harroun Ave & McBee, at 1505 Harroun Ave, Suite H. We're just behind the Collin County Courts facility at 380/University Drive and Graves Street, formerly the site of the Collin County Memorial Hospital.

Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dr. Richard Swails attended Phillips University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1997.

Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr. Swails pursed his podiatric medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was there that he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2001.
Dr. Swails continued his specialty training in Kansas City as a surgical resident in the Medical Center of Independence Podiatric Surgical Residency Program form 2001 to 2003. His program focused on all aspects of Podiatric medicine and surgery including reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Swails is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Swails joined the McKinney Foot Clinic in July of 2006, and together with Dr. Paul Leon provides an enhanced team approach of comprehensive foot care to the McKinney area. Dr. Swails maintains hospital affiliations with the Medical Center of McKinney, the Surgery Center of McKinney and the Surgery Centre at Craig Ranch.
Dr. Paul D. Leon graduated from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at R.F. University in Chicago, Illinois in 1958. He then completed his residency at Civic Hospital in Detroit, MI.

During his 11 years of practice in the Chicago area, Dr. Leon furthered the field of podiatry by helping to train podiatrists in surgical procedures while providing quality care to his patients.
In 1970, Dr. Leon relocated his practice to the Oak Cliff area of Dallas where he contributed to the development of young podiatrists in local residency programs while building a successful practice.
With almost 50 years of experience, Dr. Leon brings a long history of quality care to the McKinney area.
